- 7:01 PM - Theme SystemI finished up the theme system and made a new theme. It's nothing spectacular, but it's worth a look. Click "Settings" in the box at the top-right, and choose your theme. It will change instantly (at least once it's loaded, even in IE!), and the site will remember your theme for next time you visit.
- 3:54 AM - Booboo turned up with his friends... gangbang, gangbanghttp://www.exonytesrealm.com/stuff/yogi_bear.mp3
Listen to this.
- 12:32 AM - AOHellCharter Communications doesn't have my cable back up, so I'm using and AOL free trial to take limited excursions into the World Wide Web. I swear, I'm going to go insane if I don't get my cable back soon.
- 12:11 PM - Google Maps Katrina maphttp://maps.google.com/maps?q=New+Orleans&t=e
Check it out. It shows the Metairie and New Orleans areas.
- 7:19 PM - Yay for Gap Inc.For those who don't know, I work for Old Navy, which is owned by Gap Inc.
Anyways, they recently took down their three websites (oldnavy.com, gap.com, and bananarepublic.com) for updating. While gap.com is not back up yet, I would like to congratulate them by turning towards the W3C standards. Both Old Navy and Banana's websites so far are set to the XHTML 1.0 Strict DTD, and both have less than 20 errors, some of which are for backwards compatibility reasons. Not bad for a corporate entity. Now granted, one of the errors is a major XML error, but I'm still happy to see them taking a huge step in the right direction. Note that you can turn off CSS in your browser ('cept for you sorry IE peoples) and the website is still totally usable, which means even ancient Netscape users can visit the site :P
- 10:20 AM - And now for something completely differenthttp://www.flashplayer.com/animation/foamyhurricanekatrinareport.html
If you're one of those douchebags who are saying shit like "oh, NOW we care about helping people", and "what about the people in Africa without homes?", I have one thing to say to you: kill yourself. If you care about the people in Africa so much, give them YOUR home.
Yes, I read on some forums somewhere .. people are actually saying this crap. Screw Africa, screw Asia. This is at home. It'd be like if your city got nuked and you're worrying about the radiation. It don't make no sense. Like wiping before you poop.
Argh. Anyways. Back to my magic computer hackery.
- 7:45 PM - Interesting informationStudies show that if your right hand is bigger than your face, you may be at risk for cancer. Coincidentally, if your left hand is bigger than your face, that means you're gay.
Feel free to say either of those to someone, and as soon as they lift their hand up to their face, bop their hand hard onto their nose.
Yes, I stole this from Family Guy.

- 5:45 PM - Minor Katrina aftermath shotshttp://www.exonytesrealm.com/katrina/
I drove around a bit after we got home and took some pictures on my cellphone. Nothing horrible, but still some neat shots.
Some things I didn't take pictures of are the brick two-story house that had a second story wall blown out (they had it covered with plastic, so it wasn't much to see), and the tornado I saw today on the way to Sara's. There were also other lines down, awnings gone, and trees obliterated, but I didn't feel like stopping as I drove by :P
- 4:44 PM - Whee!Back online. Power was restored simultaneously with phones about an hour ago. Still don't have cellphone access, which is why I disappeared for the past two days, but everything else is working fine. Although, I can't call long distance because the telecom hubs in New Orleans are shot to hell.
Anyways, I'll be setting up those pictures soon. I have some people I need to get in touch with first.
