- 10:01 PM - Mario BrothersOne of the best flash series' I have ever seen. Worth watching, plain and simple. Even though it uses the original Super Mario Bros. sprites for everything, the music selection is perfect.
- 5:28 AM - ...http://rumkin.com/tools/population/
For some reason, watching people dying sorta humbles me. Go and you'll see what I mean.
- 2:43 PM - Spider-man 3 Teaser Trailer is out.And you can check it out on ifilm.
From what I saw, I think there are at least three bad guys in this one:
1. Sandman
2. The Green Goblin II
3. "The Symbiote"
This one oughta be good.
- 2:24 AM - Sorry I've been so quietI got promoted and transferred to a store which requires a 45 minute commute, so I haven't been really feeling much like being on the computer lately. That'll change once I settle in to the new routine.
For those wondering: Yes, they are making it worth my time.
- 2:34 PM - A Blast From the Past!I found a DVD backup of a hard drive from the silent film era, and uploaded some images off of it.
Most of the images date from the area around when MSN Chat went subscription. It's an interesting look-through, and I suggest you do so. It will bring back fond memories (or not).
I've got all my old sourcecode on this DVD too. I think I might GPL it in the future.
- 2:43 PM - Futurama is back.Comedy Central has signed the Futurama crew for some new seasons. So expect to see some new episodes next year sometime.

- 3:10 PM - Kudos to Jerry Holkins and Mike KrahulikYou probably know them better as Tycho and Gabe, but Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik have been among the biggest names on the gamer side of the industry for the better part of a decade now. And now they've been given the honor that I think they deserve... they made the top of the list of MTV News' The 10 Most Influential Gamers. While I recognize that getting recognition from MTV News isn't quite the gamer's equivalent of winning an Academy Award for lifetime achievement, and I also know that most of you who know who Mike and Jerry are will have already read this on their site; I just felt the need to give them a little congratulations and some recognition over on our little corner of the web.
- 9:40 PM - Fayte, ePrickBack up your data on our server. I'll back it up too, but it won't hurt if you guys back your stuff up too. Get me on MSN later for more info.
- 12:17 PM - Chat like the old days... IRC!WE'RE STILL BORED! IF YOU HAVE mIRC, COME ALONG! THE SERVER IS IRC.LOADEDINC.COM. THE CHANNEL IS #EXOREALM. OH GOD I'M TIRED FROM ALL THE CAPS
Many of you have been here since the beginning, through the MSN Chat channel (#eXonyte's\bRealm), through the website move and upgrade... it's been fun, hasn't it? All those hilarious, informed, and interesting news posts... alright, I'll stop there.
Recently, I helped a guy who runs a popular gaming network named Loadedinc get an IRC server set up. Actually, it's more like I set it up, but anyway... it's got the usual arrangements, top-notch services, etc.
If you want to remind yourself of the old days, and help me try and recreate what was a great channel, then come along. Those of you who are antisocial don't even have to talk.
Server: irc.loadedinc.com
Channel: #exorealm
And here's a handy link for the lazy people!
Hope to see you there. And don't worry - this is actually stable and won't be going down every 60 seconds, like the previous one.
I would appreciate the presence of as many people from this site (even the lurkers) as possible. So, I hope to see you there soon.
Edit: Oh yeah, I've undergone another name change. I think that makes it... five?
- 7:22 AM - It's slow natively?Well, then. That settles it. This OS sucks. I don't expect x64 to be any faster, but I'll see about installing x64 natively on a spare drive.
And I mean. It's not like I have slow hardware or anything. I have an XFX NVIDIA GeForce 6800GS Extreme Edition (i.e. it's factory overclocked), an AMD Athlon64 3500+ (also overclocked), and reasonably decent RAM (though it's not really all that great). This should run like a champ. It does not. At least not in VMware with DirectX acceleration turned on.
- 2:49 AM - See belowVista is the slowest OS I have ever used. Burned it to DVD, put in, installed, all seemed fine, but it's as slow as hell.
The only recommendation I have had was to disable the indexing service, but you know what, Ziggy's right, it's nothing special at all. I'd rather have a fast, stable (hahahaha) OS on my laptop. Time to reinstall XP.
At least something good came out of that, however; I was quite overdue for a reformat...
- 8:48 PM - The assraping of Microsoft's servers is commencing. You may or may not know, but MS released Vista Beta 2 to the public. I just got the x86 version downloaded (I'm going back for the x64 version at the moment). Anyway. I installed it in VMware. Before I complain, I'd like to mention that VMware is usually very good. Like, I played Starcraft and CS 1.5 on it before. That said...
Even using the Vista Basic UI (Glass won't turn on), the damned thing is slooooooooooooooooow. I'll be putting the x64 version on a spare drive running natively soon, so I should be able to let you know without a doubt if it's really slow.
Other than that. I'm not that excited about Vista. It just. Well. It didn't come with any fun toys like MacOS X did. I was excited to power up my Mac. But, uh. Vista. Not really.
Also, there's this annoying ass dialog that appears when you pretty much do much of anything. It can be turned off... but I imagine I'd be rather pissed if I had to type my password every damned time.
Seriously though, they should have used BitTorrent. But they have money to burn (like, literally, I hear they use it to heat the building in the winter), so who cares?
- 12:38 AM - Random thought of the momentI keep seeing the RIAA and MPAA collectively referred to as the **AA. Considering the way the wildcard '*' actually works, *AA or even ??AA would be more correct.
